She died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Athens Convalescent Center.
Elaine Massey was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Madison County to Roy and Florence Tribble and was a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She retired from the Department of Human Resources in Limestone County and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ed G. Massey.
She is survived by her daughter Mona Aycock and husband David; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
