Ella Ruth "Nubbin" Campbell

The Funeral Service for Ella Ruth “Nubbin” Campbell, age 75, of Athens, AL; will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bruce Johnson and Dr. Rick Craft officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 6-9 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell passed away Saturday August 16, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital.

She was born June 22, 1939 in Jefferson County, AL to Huel Thomas Dewitt Peebles and Mary Ruth Putman Peebles. She was a member of First Church. She was retired from Athens Middle School.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband James Bailes Campbell, one brother Harlin Peebles, one sister Jewel Clem, and one grandson Jacob Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Shireman Byrd (Steven) of Huntsville, AL, sons Randy Campbell (Patricia) of Athens, Jeff Campbell (Chery) of Athens, brother Doyce Rogers of Ardmore, AL, sister Lois Stanford of Athens, 2 special nieces Patricia Collins and Tamie Owens, grandchildren Jason Shireman, Jamison Shireman, Bryan Campbell, Marcus Campbell, and Luke Campbell, great grandchildren Casper Campbell, Story Campbell, Shiloh Campbell, and Madden Campbell.

Pallbearers will be Jason Shireman, Jamison Shireman, Bryan Campbell, Marcus Campbell, Luke Campbell, Jonathan Craft, and Bryan Robles.
