

George met the love of his life, Charlotte Bryan, in high school. They had their first date at an Alabama vs Tennessee football game. Alabama lost that game but George and Charlotte won a beautiful romance of 55 years. They married on January 24, 1970.
George was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Jefferson State Community College.
After his military service with the United States Army, he entered into a partnership at McConnell Funeral Home with his father, G.W. Feigley. After his father’s death and the sale of the funeral home, he found employment with H. Joe Johnson’s accounting firm where he achieved his CPA and later became a partner creating what later became Johnson, Feigley, Newton, LLP.
George is survived by his daughter, Dawn Feigley South (John); son, George William Feigley III (Beth); and daughter, Mary Katherine Littrell (Adam); his grandchildren, Brynn Elisabeth South, Maxlyn Briley South, Savannah Grace Littrell, Ella Katherine Littrell, Jackson Creed Littrell, Hayden Hudson, and Will Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Feigley, parents, George (G.W) Feigley Sr. and Edith Feigley, and brother Dillard Feigley.
Pallbearers will be John South, Adam Littrell, Hayden Hudson, Will Hudson, Chuck Feigley, Bill Feigley, Pete Estes, Eric Feigley, and Brandon Feigley.
The family will receive friends at visitation on Saturday, June 3 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, with a funeral service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Athens First Methodist Church, Make-A-Way foundation, or your favorite charity.
