

Gerhard Kurt Presser was born on July 12, 1937, in Wollstein, Germany, and passed away on April 14, 2026, in Athens, Alabama. Gerhard was trained as a tool and die maker and proudly served 12 years in the German Air Force. He concluded his career as a supervisor at the Phoenix Honeywell GTEC Development and Assembly Plant.
He is survived by his son, Detlef Presser (Tonya Presser); and his grandchildren, Marika Bohr, Reiner Presser, David Hill, and Daniel Hill.
Gerhard had a lifelong love of Fussball (soccer) and continued playing in weekly tournaments in Scottsdale, Arizona, until the age of 83. He was known for his meticulous work ethic and exceptional attention to detail, often spending countless hours perfecting his homes and landscaping projects. A man of many talents, he took great pride in everything he built and maintained. He was a generous man, with a big heart.
There will not be a formal ceremony and the family will have a small, private gathering for remembrance.
