Dear Mr. And Mrs. Griffith, Lee, Julie, Bill, Elizabeth, and Rachel,
I just learned last night that Jean had gone home to be with Jesus. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Jean was always a ray of sunshine in any room. I know you will miss her physical presence, but that you take great comfort in knowing her eternal home is with God where she adds a melodious voice to the Heavenly choir.

Dear Roger & Reba, I saw Etta one night & she told me of the loss of your precious daughter. I can't even imagine what you are going through. But please know that Shannon & I are thinking of you & are praying that you will find peace in the Lord & your memories of Grace Jean. I saw Pete Key at the library today and he expressed his sadness. He will tell the club. We love you & will be in touch by email soon. Virginia & Shannon

I was so touched by Jean's funeral. She indeed did preach her own funeral through the beautiful videos in which she sang her praises to her LORD and shared her battle with cancer. Thank you for sharing those videos of your wedding and her singing to her husband and the one of her in bed with her girls singing together. I wish I had known Jean better. Rachel took guitar lessons from my daughter and Jean was always so upbeat and kind when she brought her for her lessons. After her funeral i sure look forward to knowing her for all eternity, what a special "rose," she is in the garden of our MASTER. You all are in my prayers during this difficult time... Love,Mitzi Evans

"Amanda and I would like to extend our sympathy to the Brinkley family. Jean was my lab partner at UNA 26 years ago. She introduced me to Amanda and then sang at our wedding. We will always remember Jean as a kind, loving person who always looked for the best in others. We will remember your family in our thoughts and prayers"

So very many memories have flooded my thoughts during the past couple of days from the days of our youth. Jean was an extrordinary person in so many ways. Her friendship and Godly example has meant the world to me, and to many others I'm sure. Her Godly heritage lives on; not only through her family, but in the hundreds of lives that she has touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Psm 143:8
