Harold Edward Stewart

Visitation will be Sunday August 19, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Stewart passed away on Friday August 17, 2012 at Athens Limestone Hospital.

He was born May 25, 1934 in Limestone County to Ivan Stewart and Velma White Stewart. He was retired with Turner-Universal Corporation (Construction). He was in the Army- Horse Platoon 287 Military Police Co. He volunteered for Tanner Fire Department. He was a member of Tanner United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Linda Lawler Stewart, one son Harold (Hal) Stewart and wife Doris; one daughter Melinda Rossetti and husband Allen; two brothers William E. (Bill) Stewart, Franklin D. (Peewee) Stewart; three sisters Laura Terry, Mildred Breeding and husband Jay O., Agnes Kelly and husband Bobby; four grandchildren David D’Antonio, Jason Stewart and wife Courtney, Ashley Stewart and Nick D’Antonio; one great grandchild Savannah Rose Stewart.

Pallbearers will be Richard Phillips, Ben Stewart, Tim Stewart, Stewart Terry, Steve Terry, and Mike Terry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David D’Antonio, Nick D’Antonio, James Paul Schrimsher, Jason Stewart, Charles Page, JC Lawler, Bobby Kelly and Billy Swanner.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tanner United Methodist Church, Tanner Fire Dept. or your personal choice.
