

She was born June 7, 1934, in Limestone County, AL to Willie Clyde Long and Magnolia Green Long.
Helen was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church almost all her life. She worked for 19 years at Fly Manufacturing and retired from U.D.S. Motorola and enjoyed her time sewing, quilting, and cooking. She loved her family and church family very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lonnie Eugene King of 46 years, one son Barry King, one daughter Gladys Christian, one sister Nancy Lovell and three brothers Charles Long, Marion Long and Grady Long.
Helen is survived by one son Paul King, three daughters Joy Kay Leopard (Jeff), Julie Hill (Robert), Sherry Bowling (Tab); one brother Jerry Long (Annette); ten grandchildren Anthony Hamley (Melissa), Paul Wayne King (Jennifer), Matthew Leopard (Ashley), Ciera Carter (Josh), Joseph Hill (Meaghan), Michael Hill (Sandy), Sean Leopard (Kennedy), Rachel Hill, Lindsey Upton (Ryan), Katelyn Duke (Tyler), 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Sunday May 3, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Brother Robert Hill officiating.
She will lie in state from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Sardis Springs Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul King, Barry Miller, Anthony Hamley, Paul Wayne King, Matthew Leopard, Joseph Hill, Michael Hill and Sean Leopard.
