Inez M Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Crestwood Medical Center.

Inez Mitchell was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Kelly’s Creek, Tenn., to Grady Mitchell and Mable Mitchell. She was a devoted wife of 45 years, a wonderful mother, a loving grandmother and a caring great-grandmother.

Inez and James spent 30 years in the service of their country; James was a career Air Force noncommissioned officer, Inez a director of child development. The cornerstone of the Mitchell family, Inez was the epitome of love, care, generosity and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Richard Mitchell; and two brothers, Richard Mitchell and Dalton Mitchell.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Mitchell of Toney; two daughters, Debbie Whitley and husband Rick of Killeen, Texas; Vicki Cook of Elkmont; one brother, Spencer Mitchell and wife Beth Ann of Cornersville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and loving friends.
