Funeral service will be Friday, September 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Friday from 1 – 1:45 at McConnell Funeral Home with Joey Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Stewart was born February 22, 1943 in Huntsville, AL to Fred L. Stewart and Delia Holmes Stewart. He graduated from Athens High School in 1961.
Survivors include: two sons, Christopher Stewart and Brad Stewart; one brother, James Stewart and wife Doris; two sisters, Janette Bryson and husband Jack and June Whitehead and husband Bobby; and 2 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Greg Swanner, Dan Bryson, Steve Bryson, Glen Davis, Spencer Holmes, Chisholm Downs.
