Visitation was from 6-9 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at home.
Jonathan was born April 14, 1987, to Pete Smith and Tammy McWhirter Smith. He was a faithful member of Clements Baptist Church. He was a big Auburn fan, and he loved everybody and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his parents, Tammy and Robert Reyer of Athens; his father, Pete Smith of Athens; one brother, Chad Smith of Athens; two half brothers, Brandon Smith and Justin Smith, both of Athens; one stepbrother, Chris Reyer of Athens; one stepsister, Casey Morris of Hartselle; grandmothers, Rocine McWhirter and Milnee Smith, both of Athens.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth McWhirter and Alfred Smith.
