Judy Fay White

Athens--Judy Faye Moyers White, age 71,passed away Friday,September 4, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital. Judy was born March 10, 1944 in Limestone County. Judy was a graduate of Tanner High School and a member of Tanner Methodist Church. Judy was Office Manager for Automatic Machine and Screw in Decatur and later was a successful business person in Athens, as owner and manager of Midway Grocery on Highway 72 at East Limestone and White’s Texaco on Highway 31 South. Judy enjoyed a beautiful day spent fishing and conversing with her friends. Judy expressed a love for outdoor activities in her yard and considered that her best therapy. Judy always loved her animals, especially her dog, Rumor. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and William Moyers, her mother-in law and close friend, Mae Belle White and her loving husband of 48 years, Ashford T. White. Judy is survived by one son, Thomas William White, of Athens. There will be a visitation at McConnell Funeral Home tonight, September 8, 2015, 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be a visitation Wednesday at 10 a.m., with the service led by Kasey Harbin at noon. Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Moyers, Billy Key, Chad Norris, John R. White, Charles Shoulders and Alvin White. Interment will be at Tanner Methodist Cemetery with a graveside service led by Kasey Harbin followed by a gathering of family and friends at Tanner Methodist Church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to the cancer research of their choice.
