Burial will be Athens City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2015: 1-2:45 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Higgins passed away Friday September 11, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital.
He was born April 23, 1941 in Colbert County, AL to Lee Roy Higgins, Sr. and Nellie Jane Higgins.
Mr. Higgins was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Mattie Jean Hayes.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie Higgins of 33 years, two daughters Debbie Kieff and Lisa Maplesden, four grandchildren Morgan Kieff, Mallory Kieff, Nick Maplesden, and Josh Maplesden, one great grandchild Avery and two nieces Delorese Hayes and Dianne Chaney.
