Lee Acklin Parsons

Mr. Lee A. Parsons passed from this life on Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Huntsville Hospital.

Mr. Parsons was a loving and devoted husband, daddy and granddaddy. Mr. Parsons owned a carpentry and home repair business. He was a former employee of Morton Thiokol Corporation and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Reunion Church of Christ.

Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by his parents, W.K. “Bill” and Dovie Parsons and sister, Shirley Lanier.

Mr. Parsons is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda Parsons; his daughters, Paula Gilliam and husband Marty, Emily Jackson and husband Greg. He is also survived by his “Six Little Angels,” granddaughters, Elizabeth, Loren and Hannah Gilliam and Brenigan, and Christen “Cricket” and Katie Jackson.

Lee is survived by his sisters, Hazel Wilbanks, Helen Reeves and Wilma Carter; brothers, Elbert “Bud” Parsons, Mike Parsons and Frank Parsons. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and special friends.

Pallbearers will be Van Stewart, Ed Blumely, Jeffery Miller, Tyler Adams, Derrick Adams and Bradley Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bailey, Mike Hovis, Nick Holland, Jimmy Hambrick and Henry Cantrell.
