She was born on Aug. 25, 1918 in Athens, Alabama.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-12:45 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Roy and Elbridge Theodore Christopher (Calvin); her husband, John Preston Page, Sr.; and her brother and sister in-law, J.B. and Ruby Christopher.
She is survived by her son, John Preston Page, Jr. of Athens, Alabama; granddaughters: Melissa Page Duncan (Craig) and Pamela Page Bryant (John) all of Columbia, Tennessee. Her great grandchildren: Austin Bryant, Alex Bryant, Shelby Bryant, Lexie Duncan, Miles Duncan (Cayla) and her great-greatgrandchild: Brayden, all of Columbia; her niece Pat Christopher Jenkins (Dan) of Stuart, Florida; Caroline Page, Charles Page, Jr. all of Tanner, Alabama; her step sister Linda Kennemer and cousin Mary Nelle Woods.
Lerline graduated from West Limestone High School and attended Athens College. She married John Preston Page, Sr. on Oct. 4, 1941. She worked for Turner Goodrich Attorney as a secretary and volunteered at the American Red Cross, Red Stone Arsenal and served as a board member at the Donnell House. She was in the Missionary Society at the United Methodist Church in Athens and a long standing member of United Methodist Church in Athens.
She was an active bridge player for over 50 years, in the Garden Club, enjoyed golf, traveled to many countries and visited every state except Alaska. She lived in Columbia for years when her husband John was on the military staff at Columbia Military Academy.
