Linda Carol Richardson

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 16th at 10 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Brother Phillip Schrimsher officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Copeland Cemetery.

Mrs. Richardson was born February 16, 1941 in Tennessee to Thomas Wiley “Lee” Haynes and Mabel Howard Haynes. She worked at Cutler Hammer in Athens, and she was a manager at Roses Department Store until it closed in 1990. She was a sales associate at Big Lots and she was a custodian at Athens High School until she retired in 2010.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Forrest Wayne Richardson, one sister, Estelle Abernathy and two brothers, Wiley Louis Haynes and Jerry Wayne Haynes.

Survivors include: one daughter, Melissa Richardson Kennedy and husband Keith; three brothers, Raymond Haynes and wife Carolyn, Lee Haynes and wife Udene and Teddy Haynes and wife Sally; one sister, Cathy Putman; three grandchildren, Channing Kennedy Bethke and husband Kellan; Nicholas Colby Kennedy and wife Irene Georgiou Kennedy and Lacey Elizabeth Kennedy; two great grandchildren, Kegan Cooper Bethke and Kora Elissa Kennedy and several nieces and nephews.
