Marjorie Wilson
The graveside service for Marjorie Wilson, 90, of Athens will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Athens City Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Bassham officiating.
Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home.
Marjorie Wilson was born Dec. 9, 1920, in Elkmont to John Silvers Wilson and Alice Smith Wilson. She graduated from Elkmont High School and attended business college in Nashville, Tenn. She worked in the secretarial field at Genesco in Nashville for more than 30 years. She retired in Athens in 1983.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Wilson, Laura Sexton and Josephine Murray; brothers, Woodfin Wilson, Richard Wilson and Woodrow Wilson.
She is survived by four nieces and four nephews.
The family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Limestone County, Athens First Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice.
