

Mary Frances “Francie” Bryan Holland passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama, after 89 blessed years. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 at McConnell Funeral Home followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. E. W. Bryan and Susie Anderson Bryan; her husband of 53 years, Elliotte Holland; her brothers Dr. William James “Bud” Bryan, John Hugly Bryan and sisters, Joyce Bryan Maples and Jo Ann “Annie” Siltanen. Mary Frances was born in Athens, Alabama where she spent most of her life. She attended Athens High School and Auburn University. She cherished her family, her friends and her Auburn Tigers. Mary Frances was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church. She spent her latter years enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Mary Frances is survived by her brother, Pete Anderson Bryan and her sister, Booi Bryan Crafts; her three children, Steven Elliotte (Julie) Holland, Susie (Dr. Thomas) McCutchen and June (George) Mauser; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Mary Frances Bryan Holland to the First United Methodist Church in Athens, Alabama.
