

Meb was born in Owensville, Indiana on August 16, 1943, to Inez Dale Lang and William Lewis Lang who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Christmas Lang, 1 son: Kenneth Ryan Lang (April), 2 Sisters: Ann Straw and Judy Kihn (Roger), both of Poseyville, IN., 5 Sisters-In-Law: Pat Higgins, Regina Stone (Lawford), Tammy Prow (Jerr) all of Owensville, IN., Mary Garrett (Phillip), and Kay Smith of Ft. Branch, IN., 2 Brothers-In-Law: Steve Christmas (Giselle) of Owensville, IN., and Tim Smith of Princeton, IN., and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Meb was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Jack Williams (Sharron), 1 sister: Carol Straw (Delbert), 2 brothers-in-law: Bob Christmas and George (Bob) Straw, 1 sister-in-law: Vickie Smith, and nieces and nephews.
Meb and Sue were married at Antioch Baptist Church in June of 1968. Meb attended Owensville Schools and took classes at Vincennes University. He served in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1970. He retired after 46 years of service at Purdue University and the Southwest Purdue Agricultural Center (SWPAC) in Vincennes, Indiana, and worked tirelessly to improve SWPAC and was most proud of all the young adults who worked there during the summers. Meb enjoyed following their careers and accomplishments. He was very proud of them.
Meb made many friends and always had a good saying, story or joke to share.
Meb will be remembered as a good husband, father and friend to everyone he met and will be sorely missed by his family and those who loved and respected him.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Spray officiating. The visitation will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Burial will be at Thatch - Mann Cemetery.
