Ms. Wineinger was born June 19, 1930 in Limestone County to Charley Preston Adams and Julia Williams Adams. She was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ in Athens, AL. After she was married she moved to Michigan, then she moved to West Palm Beach, FL where she worked at Saint Mary’s Central Sterile Processing from 1979-1995. After she retired, she moved back to her family homestead in Athens, AL. She moved to her daughter’s home in Atlanta, MI in July of 2016, and she lived there until she passed away. She was a founding member of the Atlanta Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Naydean Long and her husband Clifford Long, Mastine Williams, and one brother, James Edward Adams.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Lewis of Warren, MI; Nancy Fussell of Atlanta, MI; three sons, Frank Wineinger of Suffolk, VA; Phil Wineinger and wife Teresa of Smithfield, NC; Rodger Wineinger of Athens, AL; her daughter in law, Carol Wineinger of Ten Mile, TN; one sister, Wanda Kirks and husband Maurice of Athens, AL; two brothers, Bob Adams and wife Sandra of Athens, AL; Melvis Adams and wife Bernice of Athens, AL; six grandchildren, John Lewis and wife Kimmie of MI; Becca Lawes and husband Matt of Shelby Township, MI; Sandra Perez and husband Joel of Palm Beach Garden, FL; Cheryl Ann Wineinger of FL; Donna Ferrell and husband Eric of Shelby Township, MI; James Fussell and wife Michelle of Woodhaven, MI; and 15 great-grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service at O’Neal Church of Christ Monday, September 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Brother Guy McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Wineinger, Joel Perez, Jerry Long, and Phil Wineinger.
