Nancy Lynn Chapman

The funeral service for Nancy Lynn Childers Chapman, age 63, of Athens will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2011 from 6 – 9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chapman passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Cullman, AL.

Nancy Lynn Childers Chapman was born August 24, 1947 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Dr. Norman F. Childers and Dorothy Bell Childers. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a mother, a strong Christian, studied her Bible, and loved to do needlework.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband of 46 years John D. Chapman; her sons John Marshall Chapman and wife Ann Margaret of Athens, and Andrew Douglas Chapman and wife Melinda of Trafalgar, IN; grandchildren Chelsea Dee Chapman, Dusty Douglas Chapman, and Sarah Ann Chapman; brother Dennis K. Childers and wife Cheryl; half brother Mark Childers of Naples, FL; and half sister Monica Childers of Gainesville, FL.
