Rev. Otis Harry Bentley, 79, of Athens, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on August 24, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1946, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Rev. Harry W. Bentley and Annie Lou Hill.
On December 19, 1967, Otis married Carole Lee Tucker, and together they shared nearly 58 years of marriage.
During his 58 years in ministry, Otis faithfully pastored churches in Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, and Alabama touching countless lives.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; his three children, Becky, Bryan, and Kerry; his sister, Louise Melvin Snell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Otis will be remembered as a loving husband and father, cherished brother, and faithful friend. His greatest legacy is the love and faith he leaves to his family and to all who were blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery.
