Richard is survived by his sister: Donna Knox, brother: John Watson (Linda), niece: Trisha and nephew: Mac
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Richard was an Elder at First Christian Church in Athens, he worked 40 years for Athens Limestone Hospital, and loved Alabama Football.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at First Christian Church in Athens at 1 p.m., with Clint Coffey officiating.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church in Athens, or Samaritan’s Purse.
