Mr. Lambert is preceded in death by his parents; son Lakin Lambert; and brothers Charles Lambert and Gilbert Lambert.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Janie Thomas Lambert; daughter Lora Warren (Lance) of Decatur; sisters Patricia Lambe (Ron) of Baton Rouge, LA and DiAnna Patton (Bud) of Tuscaloosa; daughter-in-law Mary Beth Lambert of Athens; grandchildren Jeremy Lakin Lambert (Tara) of Elkmont, Wesley Warren (Danielle) of Decatur, Jake Lambert (Amber) of Athens and Keri Sebesta (Patrick) of Decatur; great-grandchildren Collin Lambert, Paizlee Lambert, Raylan Lambert and Samuel Lambert
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 19th from 10-11am, with a memorial service to follow at 11am in the chapel at McConnell Funeral Home.
