Sally J Kennedy

Visitation is from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kennedy passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at home.

June Bowers Johnson Kennedy was born June 15, 1933, to Byron and Naomi Thomas Bowers. She was a faithful member of Bethel Church of Christ. She was retired as an administrative assistant from TVA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Philip Johnson; and husband, Henry L. Kennedy.

Survivors include her daughters, Sally J. Marks and husband David, Philda J. Wisecarver and husband Robert, Julia Sims and husband Lenny; son, Hal Johnson; grandchildren, Ali J. White and husband Neil, Trent Johnson and wife Valerie, Ross Sims; great-grandchildren, Carleigh and Sadie Annie White, Rosalyn and Kate Johnson; siblings, Mary Ann Thomas, Jack Bowers and wife Mignon, Don Bowers, Roma Christensen and husband Myron.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bowers, Raymond Bush, Gary Carter, Bennie Frasier, Tink Haney and Larry Howell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Beddingfield, Dr. Ivan Bradford, Dan Havely, Jackie Leonard, Sam Putman, Doc Thompson and Jere Trent.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bethel Cemetery at 115 Malone Circle, Athens AL 35611, or to Hospice of Limestone County.
