He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jack Curtis.
Survivors include: three daughters, Jessie Boespflug (Sean) of St. Petersburg, FL; Ria Elwood (Adam) of Ardmore, AL; Emily Curtis of Toney, AL; four sons, William Curtis Avery of Memphis, TN; Robert Curtis of Birmingham, AL; Neil Curtis (Rachael) stationed in Alaska with the U.S. Army; Paul Curtis of Toney, AL; one sister Lucy Curtis of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren, Anna, Mary, Bethany, and Charity Elwood.
Graveside service will be Monday, May 15, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 12-1:45 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
