She was born July 26, 1950, in Florida to Milton Baxter and Berneitha Harkless Baxter.
Sheila was a longtime member of 1st Methodist of Athens. She sang in the choir, active in Potter’s Hand, and loved spending time with her granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband; Daniel Vesper.
Sheila is survived by one son; Todd Vesper of Dacula, GA: one daughter; Amanda Young and husband Stephen, three grandchildren; Virginia Young, Amariah Young, and Lauren Young, one sister; Sherrie Beury and husband Tom, and their three children; Marc, Matthew, and Patty Beury.
Celebration of Life for Sheila will be held at Athens First Methodist Church on Oct 28 at noon, with visitation starting at 11:00.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested to please make to Potter's Hand Pottery of Athens First Presbyterian Church.
