Timothy Powers

Funeral Services for Mr. Timothy Keith Powers, age 46, of Morgan County, will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Ray Duvall officiating. Mr. Powers passed away Wednesday October 24, 2012 at Decatur General Hospital.

Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Powers was born July 4, 1966 in Limestone County to Maxsell Powers and Jarral Dean Thornton Powers. He was raised in the community of Coffee Pot. Went to Johnson, Jr., Ardmore, and graduated at Clements in 1985. He went to work in Decatur, AL at Monsanto, Solutia, Ascend performance materials.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his best friend Michelle Thornton who took care of him for 18 months. This is a quote from Tim: “I could have never made it this far without Michelle.” He is also survived by his two daughters Kelsey Powers and Harley Powers; one granddaughter Little Bit (Adelynne Powers); two sisters Debra Powers and Kim Powers; four nephews and one niece; stepmother Frances Mansell and husband Cliff; stepbrother Shawn Alvarez and family; stepsister Angie Alvarez Trent and family.

Pallbearers will be Dudley Sharp, Terry Rolin, Randy Powers, Jeff Powers, Donnie Gibson, and Steve Powers.
