Traci Ziegler

A devoted daughter, Traci lived her life for God, her mother and father, family and friends. Her gentle, kind, loving manner allowed her to befriend all she met, though in the past months she was limited in her abilities to serve others, her giving nature continued to shine through.

Traci was born in Ocala, Florida on October 31, 1965, to the late Roger E. Ziegler and Judith Elaine Ziegler. She was a member of Mt Pisgah Baptist Church in Athens for over 5 years. Traci is preceded in death by her parents Roger and Judith Elaine Ziegler; numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her aunt Janie (Wayne) of Lakeland, FL, uncle Terrell (Kathy) Simmons of Maryville, TN; uncle Roger (Willa) Simmons of Ocala, FL; uncle Keith (Nancy) Simmons of Hope, Ark; aunt Jeanne Ziegler of Ocala, FL; aunt Marilyn Ziegler of Cheyenne, WY; aunt Dianna Simmons of Ocala, FL; aunt Carolyn Simmons of Elkmont, AL; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be Friday; 6-9 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, AL. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist church on Alabama 99 with Dr. Juaken Dumas officiating. She will lie in state from 10-11 A.M.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations are made in Traci’s memory to Disabled Veterans of America or to the American Cancer Society.
