William Gene Aldridge

He was born June 11, 1939, in Limestone County, AL to William Nathaniel Aldridge, and Zola Kyle.

William served in the U.S. Army for three years. He was one you would find out in the yard, cutting grass, gardening, working on cars and listening to some old bluegrass or Merle Haggard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jimmy Aldridge, and one sister Bobbie Thrasher.

William is survived by his loving wife Shirley Aldridge, two sons Tracy Aldridge and wife Lisa, Kenneth Aldridge and wife Melissa, two daughters Shelia Green and husband Micky, and Tina Aldridge, five sisters Caroline Eaton, Diane Aldridge, Edith Aldridge, Donna Sue Aldridge, and Mary Flesher, four grandchildren Cody Aldridge, Shane Herring, Logan Aldridge, and Kaitlyn Aldridge, one great grandchild Kai Waas.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Brother Eric Mattox officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Aldridge, Tracy Aldridge, Shane Herring, Logan Aldridge, Cody Aldridge, and Micky Green.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of North Alabama in Mr. Aldridge’s memory.
