A C was born in Athens to the late Sandy Lee and Annie Hooper Sheridan and grew up in Athens and Elberton, where he attended local schools. He was a member of the Methodist faith and was a United States Navy veteran and retired from Electric Motor Company in Hull. A C enjoyed woodworking, building birdhouses, for family and friends, and had a knack for repairing, modifying and improving any item that he came across.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Pruitt Sheridan; brothers, Paul, Mutt, Happy and Franklin; sisters, Ossie Turner, Alice Saggus, Mickey Dye and Roberta Melson; and step-son, Michael Pruitt.
A C is survived by his daughters, Lisa Cash and her husband, Damon of Nicholson and Sandy Norris and her husband, Ronnie of Athens; granddaughter, Jessie Norris of Athens; step-son, Johnny Pruitt of Nicholson; brother, Ralph Sheridan of Bogart; sisters, Nancy Jordan and her husband, Wallace of Watkinsville and Martha Lee of Elberton; several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2021 in Bernstein Funeral Home, immediately follow by the funeral service in the funeral home chapel.
The burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
