A native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Alexis was the daughter of Nancy Begerow Heflin and the late Herbert Heflin. She was a dedicated rural carrier with the United States Postal Service, serving at the Statham Post Office for 25 years. Alexis was also an avid animal lover and cared deeply for her pets and the animals along her mail route.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include husband, George Dyke; and son, George Mitchell Dyke (Meghan Nichole Tingle). She was the rock of her family, ceaselessly giving of herself to care for those she loved. Alexis called motherhood the greatest honor of her life.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Smith officiating.
The family will gather with friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
