He was born in Lawrenceville and lived most of his life in Oconee County and Athens. He retired from Exxon Mobil, where he was a knowledgeable mechanic.
Tony was preceded in death by his son, Michael Henry McEver; mother, Edna Mae Atha McEver; and brothers, Wayne Allen Teet and Scott Teet.
Tony is survived by his wife, Casandra McEver, Watkinsville; children, Alison Tyndell of Athens; Antonio McEver and his wife, Jennifer of Winder; Nathan Anthony McEver of Hull; and Elijah McEver of Oconee County; father, Donald McEver of Griffin; brothers, Adolphus Lewis Teet of Athens, Jody Teet of Oglethorpe County; and Christopher Ray Teet of Tifton; sisters, Donna Weatherbee and Lisa Hudson and her husband, Richard of Winder; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
