Bobbie excelled in her studies at our Lady of Mercy High School and went on to Ursuline College and then to the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale, where she majored in sociology.
Bobbie loved to grow her own food, and she enjoyed working at Berrybrook Natural Foods and Dansk.
Bobbie discovered Meher Baba as her spiritual teacher and developed lifelong friendships with “Baba lovers.”
Bobbie showed great courage and determination in coping with her illness and persisting to give and receive love and delight.
Bobbie was the eldest of six children and is survived by four sisters and one brother who loved her dearly: Cathy Irwin (Robert); Therese Fitzgerald (Arnie Kotler); Mary Beth Selzer (Craig Findly); Ruth Selzer Brady (Steve); and Greg Selzer (Lisa); and three nieces and one nephew (Madeline Irwin Furlong, Hannah Berle, Andrea Brady, Jacob Irwin).
An intimate remembrance of Bobbie will be held later this year.
