Bert Melvin "Bo" Heaton Jr.

He was born on August 27, 1956 in Chamblee, GA. He is survived by his mother, Annie Ree Heaton of Athens, GA; his father, Bert M. Heaton and wife, Linda, of Bethlehem, GA; his sisters, Pam Wiley (Johnny) of Comer, GA and Kathy Stocum of Elberton, GA; his three nephews, Chris Wiley (Lauren) of Bowling Green, KY, Adam Wiley (Olivia) of Franklin Springs, GA and Josh Hardigree of Atlanta, GA; one niece, Amy Hardigree of Athens, GA; one great-niece, Caroline Wiley and two great-nephews, Elvis (Hardigree) Lewis and Army (Hardigree) Dunn; stepbrother, Mike Mathis and stepsister, Kim Greeson of Winder, GA.

He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ron Stocum.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens, GA. Burial will follow the funeral in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Athens, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Bernstein Funeral Home.
