Charlotte was born in Athens, moved to Thomasville, GA at a young age, and graduated from Thomasville High School. Upon moving back to Athens, Charlotte became a member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church and worked for St. Mary’s Hospital, from where she retired.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, James Wesley and Lillian Kile Dillard, her husband, William Garfield Harding; and sister, Dolores Meyer.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Beth Harding and Willie Harding and his wife, Linda, all of Athens; sister, Gwen Parker and her husband, Elbert, of Athens; best friend, Susie Thomas of Athens; grandchildren, Greg Harding and his wife, Emma, Sean Harding and Katie Harding; and great-grandchild, Hawk Harding; sister-in-law, Marietta James and her husband, Raymond of Keswick, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside funeral service will be held in Evergreen Memorial Park.
