She was born on March 3, 1941 in Baltimore, MD. She was a daughter of the late James T. and Sarah C. Adams.
Survivors include her two daughters, Margo A. Moore, Durham, NC, and Terrell A. Moore and her husband, Micah G. Bennett, Watkinsville, GA; four granddaughters, Bella, Genevieve, Sophia and Francesca Ciamillo, all of Athens; two brothers, Samuel T. Adams, Stanford, KY, and Thomas T. (Carolyn) Adams, Athens, GA; one sister, Terrell A. (Stephen) Atwood, Harrodsburg, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah A. Ellis, and a brother, James Adams.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice or the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
