Charlotte Anne Workman Valitzski, 72, of Hull, Georgia passed away on August 12, 2026 after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Charlotte was born June 25, 1954 in Florida but lived all of her adult life in Georgia.
Charlotte worked two main careers, beginning her professional life as a nurse and retiring as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). While she succeeded in her career paths, completing her college degree(s) while raising a family, her favorite thing in life was being a mom and grandma. She always said she’d wish she had more kids so she could have more grandkids!
Charlotte was an amazing cook; her family will never be able to recreate her meals without her "special spice." She was also an avid reader, New York Times crossword wiz, and scrabble genius.
The inner workings of her intelligent, precise mind are represented in the finite beauty of her cross stitch artwork and crochet masterpieces. While she found joy in many things in life, you would find her happiest with her feet her in the sand and a grandbaby in her lap.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann (Valitzski) Houser of Hot Springs, NC; her daughter, Sharon Ann Swagger Valitzski of Hull, GA; her grandchildren, Gretchen Alice Houser of Hot Springs, NC, Hudson Thomas Houser of Hot Springs, NC, Luke Aiden Holbrooks of Hull, GA, and Piper Marilyn Swagger of Hull, GA; and her sister, Deborah Cosby of Cusseta, GA.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Jim" Valitzski, just 5 short months ago, her parents Annie Sue and Thomas Alva Workman, and her sister, Rebecca Smith.
A private family service will be held.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
