Mr. Shea was a son of the late Lawrence Allen Shea and Leigh Hughes Shea. He was a retired firefighter for DeKalb County, GA and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Survivors include wife, Bonnie Jones Shea; sons, Brad Shea (Nicole) of Watkinsville and John Shea of Atlanta; brother, Brad Waite of Boston, MA; sisters, Linda Strozier (David) of Covington and Pam Kjellman (Jon) of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Brady Shea and Aubrey Shea, both of Watkinsville.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14 at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Darrell Huckaby officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
