

David Sander Shull, 95, of Watkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Born October 17, 1930, David was a native of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and the son of the late Elmer Ellsworth and Kathryn Prause Shull.
David was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a military policeman. Following his military service, he spent his entire career in law enforcement and retired from the Brooklyn Center Police Department in Minnesota. David was a Mason, a Shriner, and an avid golfer. He was especially proud of scoring a hole-in-one.
In addition to his parents, one brother, and four sisters, David was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sharon Yvonne Stenerson Shull; and a son, Gregory Shull.
He is survived by his children: Cheri Rose of Watkinsville, Teresa Fontenot of Walker, Louisiana, Michael Shull of Sherman, Texas, and Rochelle (Dave) Quigg of Buford; and his grandchildren: Rebecca, Brittney (Steven), Jannah (Pablo), John (Maria), Tom (Siona), Danielle, Dylan, and Kaylan; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home. A private graveside will be held in Oconee Hill Cemetery with Rev. Matt Marston officiating. The United States Army will render funeral honors at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
