Delores Stephens Horne

Mrs. Horne was born in Clarke County to the late Alexander Stephens and Cleo Weathers Stephens. She was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School class. She loved gardening and reading, but most of all her family and friends.

Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Horne; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Buffington; brother, Willard Stephens (Dorothy); half-brothers: J.C. Stephens (Dorothy), Earnest Stephens (Emma Laila), Loyd Stephens (Nelly); and half-sister, Gertrude Stephens Fields (Allen).

Mrs. Horne is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hunt (Freddie) of Athens; her son, Richard Horne (Terri) of Athens; grandchildren: Alison Horne (Craig), Mason Horne (Andrea) and Clayton Hunt (Leah); great-grandchildren: Haley Horne, Brendon Horne, Hannah Horne, Lane Horne, Ciara Horne, Olivia Hunt and Caedon Hunt.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Heights Baptist Church. Interment will be in Attica Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
