

She was born on October 27, 1951 in Athens, GA. Daughter of the late Dr. Paul Keller, Jr. and Saidee Hodgson Keller, she attended Athens High School where she was a cheerleader and graduated from the University of Georgia. Dianne was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Belle Corps while attending UGA.
She moved to Hilton Head in 1974 and worked as a paralegal at McNair Law Firm, P.A. for over 20 years. Then she worked as an executive assistant at Coastal State Bank in Hilton Head and retired in 2015.
Dianne was a member of St. Andrew by-the-Sea United Methodist Church where she volunteered in the soup kitchen. She also volunteered at the Sea Pines horse stable with disabled children and was a dedicated Hilton Head Hospital and Memory Matters volunteer.
Dianne loved cycling, gardening, shag club, walks on the beach, horses and her dogs, Friday and Precious. She also enjoyed her “Beach Babe” gatherings.
She is survived by her siblings: Dr. Alex P. Keller, III (Marty) of Athens, Susanne Chastain (Woody) of Athens, Pat Keller of Athens and long-time partner, Ronald Castle of Hilton Head, SC, along with her nieces: Kelley Chastain Barks (Cole), Melaney Chastain Perno (David), and nephews: Dr. Andy Keller IV, Michael Keller, great nieces and nephews: Keller and Woody Barks, Saidee and Hayes Perno and Liam Keller.
A private family service will be held at 5pm on Thursday, Aug. 1, and the family will receive friends afterward from 6-7pm at Bernstein Funeral Home, located at 3195 Atlanta Highway, Athens, GA 30606.
