Doris is survived by her two brothers, Ted and Jim; and her sister, Orbie; one daughter, Terry Poling; one son, Teddy Max; four grandchildren, Brandon, Troy Joe (Joey), Nikolaus, and Hannah; and five great grandchildren, Ruthie, Gabby, Mickey, Tyler and Caleb.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA, on May 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens, GA, on May 19, 2026, at 5:00 pm.
A private burial will be attended by family at a later date in Athens.
A large Celebration of Life and burial for extended family and friends in the Humboldt area of California later this year.
