Born July 25, 1930, she was a native of Banks County, the daughter of the late Bozie B. Banks and Leila Bowles Banks.
Dorothy devoted her life to her family and home as a homemaker, carrying out her days with steady purpose and quiet faith. Her devotion was most clearly seen in the simple constancy of her daily practice—reading her Bible each day—and in the enduring commitment reflected in her membership at Calvary Baptist Church in Statham.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Uveal Pope Aaron; her brother, Leatus F. Banks; and her sisters: Blanche Banks Jennings, Eunice Banks Bell, Geraldine Banks Hammond, Nellie Grace Banks, and Mary Banks Sanders.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11:00 am, in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2064 Georgia Highway 82, Statham, Georgia 30666.
