Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Deason (died on August 20, 2013). She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Miller (Mike) and her grandson, Andrew Huie (Vanessa) and her sister, Nancy Cutts (Wiley), as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister, Margaret (Peggy) McSwain and brothers, Jack Dean, David Dean, Bobby Dean, and Billy Dean.
A Graveside Service was held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama.
Bernstein Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
