A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Peyton was a daughter of the late Issac Thomas Milligan and Martha Cain Milligan. She was the widow of Roy Oliver Peyton and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces, Anne Pass, Betty Jo Kitchen, Martha Bishop, Nina Toney, Brenda Couch, Sandra Couch and Gloria Luttrell; and nephews, Gene Wheeler, David Wheeler, Ronnie Wheeler and Roger Landrum.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Ivey officiating. Interment will follow at Clark Cemetery in Lexington. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service.
