Dr. Dorris Alton Lillard

A Tennessee native, Dr. Lillard was the son of the late Willie C. Lillard and Bernice Bogle Lillard. He was a retired Professor of Food Science at the University of Georgia. In retirement, Dr. Lillard volunteered for 20 years at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital where he accumulated over 8,000 hours of service. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife of 60 years, Huda Saba Lillard.

In addition to his parents, Dr. Lillard was preceded in death by brothers: Joe Lillard and Bill Lillard; and sisters: Juanita Wauford and Mary Alice Lillard.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include loving family and friends all over the world.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 28, at 1:30 p.m., in Evergreen Memorial Park, with Dr. Michael Helms officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.
