Born in Oconee County, Mrs. Epps was a daughter of the late Lloyd “Blue” McDaniel and Edna Belle Shelton McDaniel. She was a faithful Christian who loved going to gospel singings in Arcade and at The Gospel Barn in Danielsville. She also enjoyed singing gospel music with The Six Pack and retired as a custodian in the Building Services Department at the University of Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hubert Epps, and one sister.
Survivors include children, Jason Epps (Jeanna) and Kelley Hill (Danny), both of Comer; brothers, Ollie “Jr.” Anderson, Lloyd McDaniel, Benny McDaniel and Ralph McDaniel; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, from 6-9 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 11, at 10 a.m., at the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Wayne Wills and Elaine Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the First Pentecostal Oneness Church of Arcade Cemetery.
