Edsel Ford Young

A Georgia native, Mr. Young was the son of William Osborne Young and Josephine Chicola Young. He retired with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of dedicated service. He served three combat tours in the Vietnam War with 1st Force Reconnaissance Battalion where he earned numerous awards including the Bronze Star. He also attended National University where he achieved his Masters Degree in Business.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Albert Young, Ralph Young; and stepdaughter, Lori Nadonley (Donald).

Survivors include wife, Sally Satterthwaite Young; son, Michael Young (Nikki); daughter, Michelle Walker (Ross); stepson, Kevin Dunn (Venus); grandchildren: Amanda Plymel, Haley Griffin, Amber Boyd, Hunter Young, Tanner Young, Savannah Young, Abbey Brand, Kellen Mehrmann, Courtney Williamson, Zachary Dunn, Jorden Dunn, Christina Hostetler, Jessie Felix; along with several great-grandchildren.
