Elizabeth Geraldine Baxter Davis

A native and lifelong resident of the Athens area, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Doyle Baxter and Lizzie Lee Toole Baxter. Elizabeth, known for her dedication and skill, worked as a seamstress throughout her career.

She was the widow of Ricky Davis and is survived by her children: Opel Patrick, James Davis, Corey Davis, and Nichole Shields. Her family also includes her brother, James Baxter, and sisters: Rebecca Gearing, Angel Huff, and Loretta Whittington. Elizabeth was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren: Hana Davis, Christopher Davis, Jacob Shields, Carrington Matias, Damion Knight, Sissy Baxter, Chasidy Patrick, Corbin Davis, Madyson Davis, and Brittnie Appleby. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Johnny Baxter and Frank Baxter, and her sister, Mattie Christian.

Elizabeth was passionate about thrift store shopping, particularly at Goodwill, and cherished spending time with her family.

In keeping with her wishes, Elizabeth will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.

Elizabeth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
