Gene and I had wonderful conversations. She was a southern belle and a realist. What a combination!  She overcame some of life's blows but mostly bobbed along very well. She could love you and push you at the same time. She was generous with her family and had that ability to hold firmly to traditions. She got whatever car she wanted. She was a smart cookie..as needed. I will miss her nagging me to return to Athens. She and Ty had something wonderful, an enduring marriage perfectly suited for them.
